Organic and Natural Skincare from Earth Mama Angel Baby
After hearing rave reviews of Earth Mama Angel Baby skincare, I decided to see what all of the fuss was about.
Earth Mama Angel Baby offers a complete line of zero toxin, hospital recommended organic and natural herbal products designed to to support women from pregnancy through labor, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and baby care. All products rate a zero for toxins on the Skin Deep database.
New moms rave about the bottom balm and bottom spray which help ease postpartum discomfort. The cooling, soothing spray can also be used on sunburns, razor burns, and puffy eyes. Natural nipple butter made with organic calendula is another customer favorite.
I personally have come to love the light vanilla and orange scent of the shampoo & body wash along with angel baby lotion which reminds me of a creamsicle.
All of Earth Mama Angel Baby shampoo & body washes are made from pure, organic castile soaps. Castile soaps are “real” soap: balanced, naturally sudsy, with a natural pH high enough that they don’t require the addition of synthetic surfactants or preservatives.
It is easy to double the use of castile soap in Earth Mama products by turning them into household cleaners. A simple recipe:
Gather and Mix together -
*1 cup of baking soda
*1/8-1/4 cup of any Earth Mama pure castile soap (any of the shampoo & body washes)
*1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar
*3-5 drops essential oils

Fight Winter Skin Blues with Organic Skincare

It is that time of year when dry, chapped winter skin brings us down. Our friends at episencial skincare have created a 3 step process to combat harsh everyday elements.
Did you know skin is the largest organ and plays a critical role in immunity. And baby skin is 5x thinner than adult skin making it even more important to pay attention to what goes on their skin. A staggering 70% of what you put on your baby's skin is absorbed into the blood stream within 30 seconds.
episencial plays its part by supporting skin immunity with actively healthy ingredients in 3 simple steps - Cleanse, Nourish, and Defend.
Step 1 - Cleanse - Playful Wash 2 in 1 shampoo & body wash is great for every day use and patchy (heat sensitive) kind of eczema. It has also been chosen by select hospitals as the exclusive all natural skincare brand for "baby's first bath". Retail $9
Step 2 - Nourish - Soothing Cream - "miracle in a tube" - must have cream for everyone! Soothing Cream is also a great eczema treater. If eczema is severe with open wounds, use nurturing balm first until the wounds heal. Soothing cream may cause stinging sensation if the wounds are open/oozing. Tip: Cloth diaper users can substitute soothing cream as a diaper ointment. It doesn't contain zinc which breaks down cotton.
Step 3 - Defend - Sunny Sunscreen - Broad spectrum, physical sunscreen - ideal for skin of all ages. Also an EWG Top rated sunscreen, and it's reef safe - perfect for tropical vacays. Retail $15
What we LOVE: No artificial fragrances - fruit extracts provide yummy scents. No additives, parabens, harsh preservatives, SLS, Phthalates or Gluten, Petroleum.
Healthy Ingredients: Neem, probiotics & essential fatty acids including flax, omega oils, and primrose. Primrose contains vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids that can improve the immune system's ability to manufacture white blood cells and fight infection.

Episencial's 3-Step Approach to Healing Eczema
We receive many questions on natural and organic skincare products suitable for baby eczema. I personally recommend the all-natural episencial brand, which has a 3-step process to healing problematic areas. 3-step information is provided by episencial's skincare experts.
step 1 - bathe
AM - Wash baby with mild, non-irritating Playful Foaming Wash as needed
PM - Use Sweet Dreams Bubble Bath for nighttime bath.
step 2 - nurture
AM/PM - Apply Soothing Cream to eczematic area to heal and balance skin, and prevent future breakouts.
If skin is very dry and flakey, we recommend two products. First, replenish moisture with Soothing Cream, a water-based product to hydrate and rebalance the dermal ecosystem. Then lock moisture in with Better Body Butter, an oil-based formula, made with olive oil, shea and cocoa butters!
Note: Soothing Cream contains neem oil which may cause a tingling sensation on open wounds. If your child has open wounds please use the regimen below until open wounds have healed.
step 3 - protect
AM - Apply Protective Face Balm SPF 6 to eczematic areas.
PM - Apply Nurturing Balm to irritated areas in the evening.
